Gabbys 1st Birthday

In Feb 2011 I photographed Christaline & Asho's colourful Srilankan wedding and since then they have had a beautiful baby girl.  Gabby has just turned one and Christaline asked if I could come and take some photos of the family party to celebrate her first birthday just before Christmas.

Gabby looked lovely in her white dress and was having fun crawling around and playing.

 Christaline made the cake herself, Noah's Ark with individual animal cupcakes around it.

I took some photographs of Gabby with mum and dad and then some family photos.

After prayer, cake cutting and a change of clothes for Gabby, the immediate family took part in a teething ceremony, which involved Gabby sitting with an aunt and uncle under an umbrella surrounded by all the other children.  Then family members came up and tipped treats onto the umbrella while the kids scrambled to catch and collect the sweets!

 

It was a beautiful party full of colour and tradition and Gabby had lots of fun!

 

One Snowy Day

The snow was starting to melt away in Coulsdon but today it all came back with a vengeance & heavy snow all day.  We went for a walk up to Farthing Downs, pretty pleased with the photos considering it was really tricky to see as very windy!  A few near misses where I almost slipped over (I was more worried about my camera) but Jamie caught me...my hero * girly sigh*

Toby's 3rd Birthday

My friend Tracey has a beautiful little boy called Toby who turned 3 last weekend.  Jay and I were invited to his party, where we had balloon fights and ate fairy cakes!

We had a great game of Trivial Pursuit which Toby joined in with, rolling the dice for us (and at one point disappearing with it).  He also kept taking the counters and the pies to count, so I had to take photos of the board so we could remember where we were! It was very entertaining, he was loving it, and me & Jay actually did quite well answering the questions although we did get beaten by Dan & Sarah in the end!

Toby had an awesome birthday and it was so great to meet him again, as we hadn't seen him since he was a few weeks old.  Tracey he is a real credit to you, and is definitely going to break some hearts when he gets older! Happy Birthday Toby!

Sheffield Park

Last weekend I went to National Trust gardens Sheffield Park to photograph the beautiful autumnal colours, and it didn't disappoint.  We had a perfect day and not so much as a breeze so the lake looked absolutely stunning and I got some fantastic reflection shots. I love this place!
